Welcome to
Sometimes growth begins by turning towards what we’d rather turn away from. Therapy with us offers a space to pause, notice what’s beneath the surface, and make sense of what you’ve been carrying. From there, we can begin to imagine what’s possible.
Let’s Discover What Helps You Grow
A Glimpse into The Origin
Embrace the Sun Therapy was established by Sierra Schmidt in September 2026, born from a belief that therapy can be a place to turn towards yourself with curiosity, honesty, and compassion. Sierra created the practice with the intention of offering a space where people can feel comfortable showing up as they are, without judgment or the pressure to have everything figured out.
The practice was created to offer therapy that explores what’s beneath the surface to support you in finding your own way forward with the idea that even in difficult seasons, there is room to find warmth, light, and growth. Embrace the Sun is an invitation to lean into what helps you grow, while embracing the full range of what it means to be human.
Through her own experiences and work as a therapist, Sierra has come to appreciate that growth isn’t always linear, and that meaningful change often begins with turning towards what we may be struggling to understand or face. Embrace the Sun Therapy was created to offer thoughtful, client-centred care that makes room for both the difficult and lighter parts of being human, while helping people move towards greater connection, understanding, and growth.
